1-2-1 Tuition

If you’re looking to develop your millinery skills under the guidance of a professional milliner, then private 1-2-1 tuition with Joanne Edwards will be perfect for you.

Working 1-2-1 with Joanne at her London studio, you will receive expert advice and a wealth of knowledge as you hone your millinery skills. Whether you’re looking to learn the basics of hat making, perfect a specific millinery technique or even pursue a career in millinery – Joanne will be there to guide you and answer any questions that you have. You will come away from your 1-2-1 tuition feeling inspired – empowered to create with confidence!

You’ll leave with:

• A supplier list for your material needs after the course
• Various samples and/or a final piece(s) (depending on your chosen timeframe).

Additional Information

Refreshments will be provided. We will break for a 30 minute lunch at 1pm.

A local shop and cafe/restaurant are just a few minutes walk away, however please feel free to bring your own lunch.

Please bring a notebook and pencil/pen.

Hand sewing skills are required.

During the course feel free to take lots of photos and videos. Keep practising and photographing your work as you ‘create’ and continue to be inspired!

About Joanne

Professional milliner Joanne Edwards worked within the fashion industry for ten years, designing
womenswear and bridal dresses before starting up her own range of headwear and accessories in 2012.
She studied under innovative milliner Noel Stewart, before working for couture milliner Edwina Ibbotson
and fashion milliner to the celebrities Piers Atkinson. Joanne creates hand crafted bespoke hats and
accessories for private clients and special events, such as Royal Ascot. She collaborates on fashion and
headwear projects, for brands including Vidal Sassoon and is a short course tutor at Central Saint Martins.

Refund Policy

We understand that plans sometimes change. If you can no longer make it to a workshop or private tuition, then email us at least 7 days before the scheduled start date. No refunds will be given to cancellations made within a week of the workshop or private tuition.
